Piano Lessons for the Kids of Czech & Slovak!
I’d like to take some time to recognize Music Lessons Las Vegas (MLLV) for being charitable to our organization. Their company regularly provides children-friendly piano lessons to families all over Nevada. They’re based in Las Vegas, but they can also do piano lessons online. Most of their students sign up for access to online videos for guitar. But as we all understand, Czech and Slovak kids are more likely to enjoy learning piano instead!
For those of you that don’t know, piano is actually an instrument that belongs to the strings family of musical instruments. It takes many years of practice to become great at playing the piano. Most people don’t like spending the amount of time it takes to learn these instruments. This is why an instructor, like the ones from MLLV, is necessary to getting through the learning phase of being a musician. There are several kids I’ve personally talked to that are not patient at all to even sit through one of our orientations! If this is your kid, piano lessons Las Vegas might be a great way to start building their skills of being patient if they’re in Las Vegas, NV. It also builds resilience and determination to follow through.
We’ve already heard back from multiple students from MLLV and they all had a great time learning how to play the piano and guitar from their instructors. The kids all said the instructor made it fun and entertaining to learn music, something they expected to be boring. They all really liked how they were able to choose their favorite songs and learn how to play them.
Learning music and learning how to play a specific instrument are two very different things. Some students love to learn the theory and music reading/writing portion of things. Others really like the fact that they’re learning how to play an instrument; most say it’s because they’re learning how to use an instrument that will get them recognition and status. We’ve come to realize at our cottage that most kids do enjoy music, especially the ones that are exposed to their parents playing Czech or Slovakian music (because it’s so beautiful of course!). This tells us music is a very big part of the culture of our countries, and recognizing this culture in the United States is needed!
We find it very hard for us to see that the culture of our countries is going unseen and is slowly being forgotten in some states and cities. Depending on the state, there can be such a small amount of our people living there that the culture gets hidden away and therefor lost. People want to fit in and we understand, but to hide your country’s culture is just not a good or nice thing to do at all. We need to take the responsibility for spreading and sharing more about our culture and ways of life. Art is the biggest way to do this. Music is an art, if your kids learn how to play the piano they’ll be able to learn a lot of famous songs of Czech and Slovak Republics!
This is not meant to force kids to learning specific songs of our countries. It is only meant to bring awareness to the fact that our music is being hidden away from people. And if you have kids that are very proud of where they or their family is from, they can learn the arts of our mainland! Music is a major influence to society and especially to the children. I believe, the more people that go into the music industry that are pure and genuine the better. Most of our kids listen to all the mainstream songs on the radio and that they hear in movies or on TV. Imagine if they created music themselves and spread genuine messages to the public. The world would be a very different place already if this had already happened. Many of you won’t know this, but I am a big advocate for revolutionizing the music industry. I strongly believe the kids are our future. This may sound obvious, but acting as if it’s true is a rare thing. This is why if we teach our kids resilience and patience through an art or extracurricular activity; music is a great way to hit two birds with one stone. In case they fall in love learning the piano, that kid may be in the path that they love but would’ve never found otherwise.
If you’re thinking of signing your children up for extracurricular activities to keep them busy and build new skills; piano lessons may be the way to go. Not only will it be interesting and fun for them, but it will also be as if they’re learning a new language. This helps with brain development so much that neurologists have said it’s the ideal way to raise kids. Either teaching them a new language or having them learn how to play an instrument. The beauty of learning the piano is they’ll be able to learn other instruments easier. Or if they want to learn to make music electronically on the computer; it will make it so they already understand the most essential part of the software – the piano roll and importing sounds.
This article was written as a thank you directly to Music Lessons Las Vegas that’s offering piano lessons to kids. They agreed to giving 10% off to anyone that reaches out to them as a member of the House of Czech and Slovak Republics. Thank you for your generosity MLLV! We are grateful.
